ALL HANDS ON DEE’S DECK


I’m not sure what is going on in the photo above.

What do you think is happening or going to happen to Curvaceous Dee?

The rank of boatswain (pronounced bosun) can be traced back to 1040. It was until recently the oldest rank in the UK’s Royal Navy until the rank was retired in 1990.

One of the boatswain’s tasks was to issue commands to the ship’s crew. The ‘all hands on deck’ command required the crew to assemble on the ship’s deck. If the boatswain’s voice could not be heard because of the sounds of the sea, he would use a boatswain’s call to issue a high-pitched command to the crew – see photo below.

Giving orders like a boatswain is the job I would most like doing! No responsibility as the captain, and no hard work as the ratings. Can I be the bosun?

 Absolutely nothing....I'd rather not be on a ship because I suffer terribly from sea sickness!

 Nothing is going on with the picture,,,there isn't one!
I don't go on ships..my feet stay on land...but if I didn't have a fear of water, I would like to be a chef!

I like the land better than the sea, but I'd definitely choose the sea over the skies. I hate flying.

lok4fun has offered to be the ship's chef. I think the ship needs you as its writer-in-residence to entertain the crew during the long voyage.
