VALENTINE’S SPECIAL - USE POINTS TO SEND VALENTINE’S GIFTS TO SOMEONE SPECIAL!  The site is displaying a red banner with the message, “Valentine’s Special - Use points to send Valentine’s gifts to someone special!” The banner is still being displayed almost a week after Valentine’s Day, though the site may be preparing for next year! However, the banner is making my screen wobble around. It’s becoming difficult to click the hypertext link I want to click until time has elapsed for the screen to stabilize. I’ve tried positive thinking with the banner by imaging the banner as a Mark Rothko painting, see above. But no matter how hard I try to be positive, negative thinking prevails and the banner just reminds me of Akiyoshi Kitaoka’s art, see below. No doubt if I complained to the site, its Customer Service Department would suggest, as a default response, that it’s my computer’s fault even though its web pages are the only ones that wobble on my computer! Is your screen wobbling around because of the site’s Valentine’s banner? Do you collect and use points that you accrue on this site? If so, how do you use your points? Though I’ve been brought up that points mean prizes, I haven’t done anything with my points earned on this site. In fact, I don’t even know whether I’ve got any points!  |

So far it hasn't affected my page, but it is a pain in the butt! They'd tell you the usual bs of "clear your cache and cookies...have you tried logging out and back in? If it's still happening let us know".  "Yes, it's still happening, dumbass, that's why I'm complaining!"Something like that  Let them know via their useless blog anyway, it's always worth a laugh at the reply you might get, haha. "I'm always disappointed when a liar's pants don't actually catch on fire..."

Yes it it's so annoying I could wring someone's neck now but I'm worried that when they delete that bit of code they'll also delete something that matters!  I have a lot of points....I donated some to a fund organised by a blogger once...can't remember what it was for....it was years ago now. I also gave some to a standard member who was a friend and wanted to message someone....but if you are giving points by sending roses the site takes half the value so you need to send twice as many as you think lol.  ~~Anais Nin~~

I do have points but I have no idea how to spend them, or what I might spend them on. They accumulated while I wasn't looking- I had no idea I was accruing interest. What exactly are points good for, and can I give them away? Just give them to someone else? Points? We don't need no stinking points! Become a member now and get a free tote bag.

It is very annoying...especially since Valentines is over, "Dahhh"! I know we get points for logging in, but no idea what to spend them on...I don't want a "friggin" tee shirt!!!

I have had over 5000 points for at least 5 years. I have no use for them. My screen is not jumping or wobbly...maybe I am and we are balancing out...

The links are moving around (jumping) and making it impossible to go to what you want without waiting until that flippin' banner disappears from the top of the screen. Too often whebn I want to go into someone's blog from my watched list the tap on the screen will register above where I touch and I will be taken to someon's profile from two lines down. Ridiculous! They probably don't use this site, so they're apathetic about how much of a nuisance it is. I do collect and use points for sending flowers to people on their birthdays. To find your points, go to your sign-in page or your my stuff link, you should be able to see how many points you have, probably about 20,000 but you can use a lot of poits by choosing to become a VIP and having your profile highlighted. I'm considering doing it.

I believe that, after a cut taken by TSdates.com, you can give your points away to someone worthy ... like ME!

You're quite right, it's not the worst thing this site has done. But that banner, now gone, was annoying with its wobbling effects.

Did I tell you I was just hired to the customer service dept of A F F? Do you collect and use points that you accrue on this site? If so, how do you use your points? I use points to bid, to become a fan or to buy a valentine heart to send to special friends, I just wish, when I sent one to John, I had called him John not S~, I think I may have hurt his feelings a little bit, no way to fix that one either, I tried to say, well S~ is in the UK, doesn't really mean anything to me (I lied, you know I love you), I don't know how to make this up to John, a.k.a Rutgers Law. We figured it out -- the banner-- KtMnDu, blogged about that banner the other day. I told him it is there for Russian Orthodox Valentine's Day. You see on the Julian Calendar, February 14th corresponds to February 27 on the Gregorian Calendar. It will all be sorted out after the 27, be patient. Love, Kathleen xo

Hey! Hey Spunky! The banner is gone, but my computer is acting weird and that art work is dangerous. I think I just had a seizure. My cursor is sort of wobbling itself. Maybe our computers have been slipped a Mickey Finn or maybe they have contracted a virtual STD, a virus, heavens... Mine is Linux, the chrome OS, I just thought that is why it was acting fluky. Wait, let me turn it off an on again...

If you click on your points, you are taken to a page that offers the option to buy more but there is another page accessible from that one that will take you to a directory of how you can "spend" your points. The 25 point login bonus is awarded randomly and not every day or sometimes two or three times a day. To send someone a single rose within an email is 50 points but you can send multiples at 50 points each.
