TOO MUCH SEX   Recently there have been a few media headlines about having too much sex. At first, I thought how can someone have too much sex? Sex is supposed to be good for you, isn’t it? Then, I thought someone may be having too much sex because it’s painful. But they’d stop having sex if it hurt, wouldn’t they? Finally, I thought that, as a man needs to be aroused before having penetrative sex, a man can never have too much penetrative sex, can they? My mind then turned to women but it just got boggled, so I decided to investigate these media claims. The media headlines stemmed from a study, conducted by researchers at the Carnegie Mellon University, on the links between sex and happiness. Their study, the first to examine the causal connection between sexual frequency and happiness, found that having more sex didn’t make couples happier. 64 married male-female couples, aged between 35 and 65 and who were having sex at least once a month but no more than three times a week, were selected to take part in the experiment. The couples were randomly assigned to two groups. The first group was told to double the number of times they have sex each week. The second group, the control group, wasn’t told anything about how many times they should have sex. The happiness of couples in both groups was monitored for over three months. Couples completed a daily questionnaire to measure their frequency of sex, enjoyment of sex, libido, personality, daily mood and feelings. The Carnegie Mellon University researchers found that their happiness declined with increasing sex frequency. The researchers also found that the couples who fucked more reported lower sexual desire and reduced sexual enjoyment. Despite what many self-help books tell you, it seems more sex doesn’t make you happier. It’s better sex that makes you happier. Or maybe it's being happier that makes you have better sex! I think the experiment was a little flawed as they introduced pressure to have more sex which is never a good thing for enjoying sex. Having said that, I can't see how else they could have conducted the experiment.

I don't think I ever had too much sex....At present it is definitely too little....like nada, zero, zilch!!! Really good sex cannot be measured by how much you have of it....it depends on the partner. The rugby world cup is great. Japan were fantastic especially at the end when they decided to go for a try to win rather than a safe penalty to draw.

I don't know how accurate the Carnegie Mellon study was, I mean anytime you are forced to do something, even something enjoyable would end up causing stress and would cause you to be pretty miserable. I have read that having too much sex can cause memory loss. I don't believe that is true, do you? Now what was it you wanted to know; I've forgotten the question.

There have certainly been times when I wondered if there was such a thing as too much sex, but then I have someone that wants more and I throw out the concept of "too much sex". It doesn't exist! Have you ever had too little sex? Absolutely. I have come to the conclusion that I have a seven day a week appetite. Anything less is a challenge. If you have sex consistently, there is going to be good sex, and mediocre sex...we can't always have the bar so high that we have to be a complete failure if the sex is not mind blowing. With the right partner all sex is good whether it is Monday night or Saturday night! G
