Great post, I usually ask the lady if she prefers latex or non latex condoms, lubricated or non lubricated.....based on you post maybe I need to have a check list of items to review! All seriousness, it is smart to ask about allergies - food and non food related.

Well, I'm in good company it appears. Scented dryer sheets do me in as do many perfumes and cigarette smoke (even 2nd hand). I don't break out with hives but get stuffed up and develop a headache. Sorry honey, not tonight...I've got a headache! Thanks for another great post Joy.

One of the delights of this community is that we are free to engage on these banal but important topics. The data (based on hospital admissions of children with allergic reaction) suggests that allergies are on the rise in North America, so the need for transparency (and empathy!) regarding these conditions is even more urgent. I am blessed with a strong compatibility with natural and man-made elements, compounds and materials....but surrounded by many who are not so fortunate. So- like you- I have been conscious of these issues and- as I can- assist in finding *work-arounds*, which- fortunately (as you have noted)- are available in abundance....assuming proactive planning and discussion.

No food allergies that I'm aware of, which is good 'cause I love nuts, but cut grass is a killer for me. The day after I mow my lawn, my nose is running and I'm sneezing like crazy. Benadryl is the only thing that helps.

I had a bad experience with "yes" a couple of years ago and some condoms have a disagreeable lubricant. Like you I prefer saliva and skin to skin if you are exclusive lovers.

As someone with asthma/allergies i appreciate this. Might want to talk about pets too. I f you have pet hair on you that can cause a person allergies.

My lung issue has me using dryer balls and not scented sheets plus I hang the bed sheets outside when I can to air dry. And many men's scents absolutely seize me up to the gasping point: Polo and Drakar Noir are two of them- I an smell them at least 1/2 mile away. Having been in both the medical profession and retail I can tell you that it is imperative that part of communication has to include an allergy discussion. Luckily for me I have no allergies. Lately though I have had a reaction to NOT having sex.. LOL...They say that good things come to those who wait.. I have waited before and I certainly can again I am fully aware of the bounce sheets and do not use them also apparently no lube is required as we create our own lubrication LOL JUST ME A TALL PASSIONATE MAN WITH A HUGE HEART

You know it's not something that comes up as often as it should. Allergies can be more than a mere inconvenience, they can be life threatening and anyone that has one should really stress that with their potential partner.

Oddly enough, I'm allergic to dust. I know right, in my line of work. As for perfumes? I'm not allergic, but hate it when they douse themselves with the stuff. The sent overload is just way to much for me since I had the nasal operation.

i am allergic to insect bites...so when i get bitten, i get normally ugly bite marks...sometime it goes away after a long time, sometime, it makes scars...and i also have eczema, so when it flairs up, it is a bitch...itchy...i know it's not contagious or anything, but i can't control...but that's what make me...meeee...lol... as far as perfume goes...although i love my me who smell good and taste good, but i don't want any perfume on his crotch...um...just nice clean soap smell would be nice, but not so much heavy perfume...you know what i mean??? that might kill me while i am giving a head!!!! lol...or start to worry if he hasn't showered for how many days?

Since many NSA/Casual events start with a meal, my food allergies ( I have two plus glutens) are usually brought up then. As to other allergies, if I have them, they havnt been discovered yet. As to lubes, I use two only, PURE 100% coconut oil (a Hawaiian wahine turned me on to that, and why), or just plain bottled room temp water. I dont wish to have a scent there that isnt natural, and I dont use aftershaves or colognes, and mostly no deodorants either (I prefer to be VERY clean instead), and 100% coconut oil is safe to consume too, so any intake of it will not hurt me. It supposedly doesnt cause vaginal infections either like some lubes can. AND it tastes good too ! But, I will admit, I cant recall asking a woman about her allergies, tho I have been told by several of their allergies to materials condoms are made from, which usually leads to no condom use by us !!
