Why some gold member insist on writing when I can't read their message. Do they not know that standard members can't read the message? Makes you wonder, well it makes me wonder.

Playing the waiting game at work, waiting for others to get their work done so I can do mine that is. Harder still as we have a "rush" job to get done by Saturday next. The place needs new carpeting. ( the old one was ruined by the previous tenants dog ) It is still in the process of being painted as well. So with four days left till the new tenant wants to move in, and I'm pulling carpet and padding off the floor while the painter is painting the walls. Yeah...if it wasn't such a pain in the ass it would be down right funny. I still have a swath of carpet and padding about three and a half to four foot wide that I need to pull up in the living room. I couldn't pull it up because the painter had every tool and every paint bucket he carries with him from job to job sitting on top of it. Think he'd move it so I could get the last of the stuff up...nope. So I left it. Not much more I could do. I'm not moving the stuff, stuff by the way he really didn't need to do the job in the first place but hauled into the unit any who. I figure another day till he gets done painting, two days for the carpet installer to do his work of installing the new carpeting which if your counting brings us to Friday, and I'm sure it'll be a late Friday as the carpet installer takes his time doing his work as well. Then there's the maintenance work that will nee done. Then I get to go back in and clean up every ones mess. Can you say nail biting, last minute cliff hanger? I knew you could.

Why on earth the PM rents units that aren't ready is beyond me. I'd understand it if we didn't have any vacant units of the like all set and ready to go.. but we do. Same exact style of unit, same floor plan lay out, the only difference is this one is on the third floor of the building, the other is on the second floor in another building. I just don't get it.

Any who...Friday will be a busy day at any rate. I think I need a vacation....

Off to shower now...

It might come down too the old saying , " Location, Location, Location " !!! The possible New Tenant did not like the other two Locations

I don't know..seems silly to me. No difference in units. The places are even on the same street? Have a good one Cowboy!

I understand everyone has their intended jobs to do and probably have other jobs in other places going on. But from what you described is a lack of planning and communication. Not saying you. We run in to the same type of situation out here in the gulf of mexico with paint/blast crews and construction crews. Not to mention all the third party inspections. I wish you luck in getting it ready for the tenant. Now for your initial question. I have a private blog mailbox and it is so stated in my profile. I have even put it on my status, but no one seems to understand to use it. I still get messages and IMs.

No doubt it is a lack of planning. If things don't get done then who hears it, not the planners but those who have to pull off the plan. I have a private mailbox on my blog as well, same thing here with people never using it. Go Figure? Have a good one Wantto!

It's so hard when your trying to get a place ready for a new tenant. I know we had to wait five months for our place and they didn't even do what they were supposed too.

So I understand what your going through I hope the apartment gets done in time for the new tenants. I hope you enjoy your Tuesday..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

I'm sure the place will be done in time. Though I'm just getting tired of all the hoops we have to jump through around here from poor planning. Have a good one Tmptrzz!

I would be the potential renter holding out for a ground floor apartment well away from the parking lot. Though the other people would drive me nuts walking over my head, LOL.

As long as you'd be willing to wait I'd have no problem with that either. Al the rush rush around here tends to get stressful after awhile. Have a good one Pony!
