He does not have a problem getting hard but does at times have a issue staying at full mast.So we thought why not try Viagra and we don't know if it is working or not. Cause there are times when he takes it and stays hard and then there are times when he takes it and ends up at half mast. So wanted to see what the people here have to say

The sildenafil compound was originally developed by Pfizer for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina pectoris (chest pain due to heart disease). During the heart clinical trials, researchers discovered that the drug was more effective at inducing erections than treating angina. It is possible to drop the BP_ too low if already on BP meds so caution is advised. It may be better to have a doctor evaluate the cause of the ED as it can be indicative of other problems such as Diabetes. Other conditions that may contribute to erectile dysfunction include Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, Peyronie's disease, sleep disorders, alcoholism, and drug abuse.

The time between errections can be used to massage and stimulate the partner, possibly giving attention to ensuring she has orgasm(s). Getting your woman off tends to give most guys a good errection. In his early 40s, there should not be an issue with this if his health is good...

There is a strong correlation between fitness and erection-quality. In addition to improving blood flow, regular exercise has been shown to increase testosterone levels. Moreover, work-outs boost confidence and in turn reduce depression and anxiety, thus helping the *mind game*.

I appreciate that ED is real and Viagra/Cialis/et al may offer the only viable treatment, but I have read that the side effects (jitters, tingling, etc) are distracting for both the male and his partner.

For it to work properly, you also need to be aroused, It takes sometimes between 30 -60 minutes to have effect. Take one, In the US they say 100mg, in Europe 50 mgs, and maybe watch a bit of porn whilst paying attention to your partner.

Sildenafil that is the main ingrediate can be bought much cheaper than Viagra and is available all over Europe. Buy the 100grm and break them in half, it's far cheaper than buying 50gms.

Some guys also wear a cock ring as well , just make sure it's not to tight

It works well for me, however, there are a few things and some were mentioned. Sex starts in the mind so if there is low desire, no desire or if he "got off" once or twice, Viagra is not going to help. Get his T level checked. Low Testosterone can cause issues.. Finally I was taking Viagra daily because we have a lot of sex together and I developed Hematospermia which is blood in the semen (yuck) so that is a side effect that can happen. I take Cialis during the week and Viagra on the weekend. Seems to be a nice balance.

About 30% of men do not respond well to Viagra. He can try a stronger dose, so long as his doc OKs it. Some men respond better to another PDE5 inhibitor when they don't respond to the first one they try. So maybe try Cialis. But often if they don't respond to one, they don't respond well to the others. PDE5 inhibitors can work amazingly well, but the guy still needs to be sexually stimulated to get and keep an erection. That's why a guy can take Viagra and usually not worry about walking around with a boner for 12 hours.

Too many side effects with ED pills, not worth the risk. I have a friend that has night blindness from taking Viagra. Not being able to drive after sunset cost him his job.

Both Viagara and Cialis work. You have to be turned on to get an erection.
After ejaculation or tapping out you may no longer be fully erect.
They don't give you an endlees erection. Your brain contols your desire.
They are both horribly expensive. Opt for generic if available in your area.
If you are having sex daily or often I suggest alternating between the two.

I did Viagra a couple of times and it worked, but not as good as I thought it would.
I was not rock hard and my cock just did not feel the same.
I used zyrexin and it was better. Do not really need it now, but sometimes it is fun to have a little extra oomph. Always check ingredients to make sure there isnt something that will mess with any other medication your taking.

It all depends on the root ( no pun intended ) cause of the lack of erection or loss of erection. A good urologist should be able to help.

Coincidentally, if the cause if psychological, none of the oral meds will work.
The only thing that works is Trimix injected directly into the penis.
Not something many men are willing to do.

If it's not in my mouth, it's on my mind ....

I should have noted I've tried them all, even the Trimix ( decades ago )
I had the best results with cialis and of course the Trimix, but that is more
something a masochist would enjoy.

If it's not in my mouth, it's on my mind ....

I know a guy who used injections....some type of medicine that he injected into his penis. When Viagra first came out, he had similar results, so he went back to the injections. He said his cock stayed hard for 3-4 hours, ROCK hard. I'm sure it's a bit painful, but if it works, it's worth it. Check with your doctor....I think it was called propranolol, or something like that

I have used Viagra and Cialis, I started to notice a drop off of my erection in my mid 60's, my doctor in Germany prescribed Viagra with a positive effect. When I returned to the UK at age of 73 my doctor here prescribed Cialis, with similar results
As has been previously said they both take around 30 minutes to work, and you need to be aroused. I did find that after ejaculating, with stimulation from a partner, I could get another erection fairly quickly! Which at that age was very pleasing. \8
